Rita 6V18 came to us as a feature donor in the 2000 Wehrmann Female sale.  She is powerful.  As Richard McClung wrote at the time, “there is not a harder working cow than 6V18.”

Rita 6V18 has raised 4 natural calves with a birth ratio of 4@98, a weaning ratio of 4@108, and a yearling ratio of 2@115.

Her first natural calf was Rito 9I8, a bull by 6I6 who went on to sell as the lot 1 bull in the 2000 Wehrmann bull sale for $10,000 to the Jones’ of Nelson VA.  He had an adjusted weaning weight of 763 lbs (R114) and went on to gain 4.08 lbs/d (R122) to finish off at an adjusted yearling weight of 1416 lbs (R118).  His ultrasound data was as follows:     %IMF 4.99 (R164) and RE 11.8 (R93)

Her second natural calf was Rita 0I9, a heifer by 6I6 that is working in the Wehrmann herd today.  She had an adjusted weaning weight of 642 lbs (R108) and a yearling weight of 951 lbs (R111).  Her ultrasound data was as follows: %IMF 4.43 (R100), RE 9.3 (R101)

Her third natural calf was RBF Rita 1RV3, a heifer by Leachman Right Time.  She had an adjusted weaning weight of 643 lbs (R100, no contemporaries).  She was one of our top yearling heifers and sold bred to CA Future Direction 5321 for $3000 in COW POWER XXXI.

Rita 6V18 has been an outstanding donor, and has been flush with much success.  She has been flushed 11 times for an average of 9.5 high quality embryos.  She has been worked to such leading sires as Leachman Right Time, Bon View New Design 878, CA Future Direction 5321, Sitz Traveler 8180, and Rito 6I6.  Some of the success stories of her embryo progeny are:
